20-something wine-downing, cat-snuggling, over-sharing, reluctant "grown-up".
Come along for the ride!
We are officially fully in the throws of Wedding Season (did I mention I’m getting married?!), and PrettyLittleThing.com were kind enough to send me a few dresses from their wedding guest range to check out. I think it’s always difficult to decide what to wear to a wedding - after all, you don’t want to look better than the bride do you? (Side note: as the bride I reserve the right to photoshop you out of the pictures if you look beautiful stood next to me!).
Everyone knows that when you are close to your pregnancy due date, you pack a baby bag full of the various baby-related things you need. However, I am not having a baby (yet), I am getting married around 5 hours away from my home, so yes, I have started packing my pre-wedding bag already. This is rare for me. I am last-minute-larry when it comes to packing and always have been, but recently I’ve been packing a few bits ready for the big day (or rather the weekend on which it happens!) and thought I’d share some of my faves here with you.
So back to physiotherapy we go. I did not know that Physio of the vag was a thing, and somehow I feel my life is better for knowing this.
I love me some crafts. We have an entire room dedicated to it in our house and a huge amount of my paycheck goes on craft supplies “for the wedding”, so when stationary bosses Viking got in touch and invited me to a crafternoon with coffee and cakes, you better believe I was all over that!
NumNoms challenged me to create a #CrazyCreation and so - I grabbed some of our niblings (Did you know that’s the plural for nieces & nephews?!) and borrowed the mother-in-law’s kitchen and with an overly-extravagant video set up (perks of having a videographer as a future husband!) we got to work.
One of my biggest insecurities is my teeth. I’ve had braces twice but the little buggers don’t want to stay in their place, and with paying for a wedding, I can’t afford to get them done beforehand. So while trying to love (or at least accept) the little gap in the front and the slightly goofy look that comes with it, I knew I wanted them white. The problem with that is knowing where to start!
I’ll be honest, when YeeRah slid into my inbox and asked if I wanted to review their new menu (note to companies: always yes!), I couldn't for the life of me recall having ever seen them before. It wasn’t until we went the escalators in Liverpool One and I saw the restaurant that I remember passing by so many times thinking “Ooh, that place looks good”, before being boring and going with a trusty often-visited place instead.
You all know how much I love Homesense, so when they offered me a giftcard to check out their new ranges in store, I was over the moon!
Because the summer is creeping up on us, there are so many garden items that are new in and I was set the challenge to look for things that could work for doing up our garden (eventually! Come on good weather and motivation!) as well as potentially the wedding too. With the wedding being outside it ties in perfectly, so here is what I got...!
This is the slightly crappy, intense one. The normal hilarity will return next time, but I felt it important to get this bit out on paper (or pixels) to give a true and honest representation of the whole condition. TW: rape, abuse, police incompetencies etc.
